SINGAPORE, Feb. 20 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed down on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going down 0.33 percent or 11.35 points to close at 3476.53.
A total of 1.91 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.31 billion Singapore dollars (about 990.27 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 280 to 180.
The STI index closed up 1.29 percent or 44.37 points to close at 3487.88 on Monday.
