YANGON, Feb. 22 (Xinhua) -- Nearly 11 more people were injured in Wednesday's bomb explosion near private Yoma bank and AYA bank in Lashio, Myanmar's Shan state, bringing the total of the injured to 22 in addition to two deaths, a release of the office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defense Service said Thursday.
The two victims were female staff of the Yoma Bank.
The massive explosion hit Yoma bank, affecting nearby AYA bank at 04:30 p.m. local time with window glass smashed and cars parking nearby destroyed.
Tight security measures have been imposed on Lashio and investigation into the incident is underway by the authorities, a local police told Xinhua.
