BISHKEK, April 13 (Xinhua) -- Eight people were injured in a fire that broke out in one of Bishkek's biggest markets on Friday, authorities said.
The fire was reported in Osh Bazaar at 03:50 (2130 GMT). Eleven firefighters battled the blaze for nearly four hours to bring it under control, the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.
The injured include seven firefighters and a market employee. The ministry said the incident is being investigated.
The same market had suffered a blaze in January, burning down 3,500 square meters.
