ANKARA, May 7 (Xinhua) -- Turkish defense company Otokar will exhibit its latest armored vehicle for the first time during a live fire military drill held in the Aegean province of Izmir.
According to local media, the newest armored vehicle was produced domestically and named Cobra II Load Carrier.
The vehicle, which is developed for secure delivery of ammunition and food, has superior maneuverability with the capacity of carrying 2.5 tons of load. It can reach maximal 110 kilometers per hour with a 700-kilometers range.
The vehicle has 120 millimeters of mortars, self-defense guns and anti-aircraft guns that can be mounted in its chassis.
Turkey holds Efes 2018 Live-Fire Military Drills in Izmir province from May 7 to 11, aiming to develop military and combat capabilities for joint operations.
The event is participated by countries and regions, including Kazakhstan, Hungary, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, Italy and Qatar.?
