ULAN BATOR, May 18 (Xinhua) -- Mongolian Foreign Minister Damdin Tsogtbaatar will pay an official visit to the United States on May 18-22 to boost bilateral ties, the Foreign Ministry said Friday.
During his visit, Tsogtbaatar is expected to hold talks with his U.S. counterpart Mike Pompeo and other senior officials, and the two sides will exchange views on bilateral relations as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest, it said in a statement.
"The two countries will mainly focus on expanding economic relations and developing a roadmap to strengthen cooperation," it said.
In addition, he will meet with businessmen and visit major U.S. universities and research institutes.
