GHAZNI, Afghanistan, July 11 (Xinhua) -- At least three policemen were killed following the Taliban militants attack on a security checkpoint in Ghazni province, east of Afghanistan, on Tuesday night, provincial police chief said Wednesday.
"A group of Taliban militants attacked a security checkpoint in Naw Abad area in the outskirt of provincial capital Ghazni city on Tuesday night, killing at least three policemen on the spot," Farid Ahmad Mashal told Xinhua.
The official refused to give more details.
Taliban militants have yet to make comments on the report.
