SHIBERGHAN, Afghanistan, July 16 (Xinhua) -- At least 10 militants including six Taliban fighters have been killed in a clash with Islamic State (IS) in Darzab district of Afghanistan's northern Jawzjan province on Monday, police spokesman in the northern region Sayed Sarwar Hussaini said.
The clash, according to the official, flared up in Tashjawaz area of Darzab district Monday morning and so far has left 10 dead including six Taliban and four IS militants.
Eight more fighters from both sides have been injured, said the official.
This is the second time that fighting is erupted between Taliban and IS in Darzab and Qush Tipa district of Jawzjan province over the past five days.
On Thursday, a clash between Taliban and IS outfit in Qush Tipa district left scores dead and injured.
Neither Taliban nor IS has made comment on the report.
