DUBAI, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- The third CNBM Dubai New Energy Conference was held in Dubai on Tuesday to discuss industry trends and share insights on green energy and sustainability practices.
Hosted by China National Building Material Group (CNBM) Middle East and North Africa International Company, the conference attracted over 300 representatives from China, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Oman, and other countries.
Zhu Lian, economic and commercial counselor at the Chinese Embassy in the UAE, highlighted that both China and the UAE place high importance on green transition and development.
He emphasized that collaboration in the new energy sector has become a key shared priority between the two nations, with projects like the Al Dhafra Solar PV Plant, and the UAE Wind Power Demonstration Project exemplifying the depth and innovation of this partnership.
Zhu expressed hope for further joint efforts to drive new advancements in energy cooperation, achieving mutual benefits and shared progress for the peoples of both countries.
Chen Yongxin, chairman of the CNBM Investment, underscored the UAE's role as a vital partner for China in the Middle East, noting CNBM Group's commitment to supporting the UAE's green and low-carbon transition, digital economy development, and high-quality cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.
He added that the CNBM has also been working on energy storage and supplying the regional market with biodiesel and sustainable aviation fuel.
During the conference, CNBM Middle East and North Africa International Company signed agreements with six companies. ■
