MADRID, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- The quarter-final draw for the Spanish King's Cup knockout competition on Friday has produced both a Madrid derby and a Barcelona derby.
Reigning Cup holders FC Barcelona play local rivals Espanyol over two legs, with the first leg held in Espanyol's Cornella el Prat Stadium.
Meanwhile Real Madrid will make the short trip to the south of the capital to play the first leg of their tie against Leganes in a tie which will mean changes need to be made to the Liga Santander fixture schedule due to the incompatibility of dates.
Atletico Madrid take on Sevilla with the first leg played in the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium, while last year's beaten finalists Deportivo Alaves play the first leg of their quarter-final away to Valencia in the Mestalla Stadium.
The games will be played over the next fortnight with the semi-finals to be played in the following two weeks. Enditem
