HANOI, Feb. 2 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's central Da Nang city is one of the top 10 best places in the world for foreigners to live in 2018, according to the international tourism magazine Live and Invest Overseas.

Da Nang and Bali, Indonesia, are the only two Asian cities in the top 10, the Da Nang Tourism Department said Friday.

"Da Nang is the designated tourism jewel of Vietnam, a gorgeous destination itself with several UNESCO World Heritage sites nearby," the magazine said.

In 2017, Da Nang received over 2.3 million foreign visitors, up 39 percent year-on-year, said the department.

Meanwhile, Vietnam welcomed the biggest-ever 12.9 million foreign visitors, up 29.1 percent, according to the country's General Statistics Office.
