CHICAGO, Feb. 2 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) soybean futures were much lower on Friday morning as more rainfall on the way for Argentina.
As of 1545 GMT, March corn was down 2 cents at 3.595 U.S. dollars per bushel while March wheat was down 4.75 cents at 4.4625 dollars and March soybeans down 8.25 cents at 9.875 dollars per bushel.
Some rainfall is expected this weekend in southwestern Argentina, according to weather forecasts. Market observers said that increased rain showers could ease the drought in the country's corn and soybean growing areas.
Meanwhile, wheat futures also declined over forecasts for snow early next week in the U.S. plains, which could offer a protection layer for winter wheat plants there.
