KIEV, Feb. 2 (Xinhua) -- Ukraine's grain and legumes harvest dipped 7.1 percent in 2017 to 61.3 million tons, local media reported Friday, citing Agriculture Ministry report.
According to the report, last year, Ukrainian farmers reaped about 26.1 million tons of wheat, 24.1 million tons of corn and 8.3 million tons of barley.
The average yield per hectare has decreased to 4.23 tons in 2017 from 4.61 tons in 2016, the report said.
In 2016, Ukraine harvested a record 66 tons of grain and legumes.
In the 2016-2017 marketing year, the East European country supplied overseas 43.8 million tons of cereals.
