SOFIA, Feb. 14 (Xinhua) -- Bulgarian authorities have busted a four-member criminal group suspected of selling and trafficking drugs, and seized 34 kg of heroin and 3.6 kg of cocaine, officials said Wednesday.
As many as 30 kg of heroin, in 60 packages, were found in a car when police stopped it near Sofia on Saturday, the Ministry of Interior said in a press release.
Another 4 kg of heroin and 3.6 kg of cocaine were discovered in the home of the driver, a 43-year-old man from Sofia.
Later on, the authorities arrested three of his accomplices in Sofia, Sliven and Stara Zagora respectively, the ministry said.
The investigation is ongoing, it added.
