LANZHOU, March 5 (Xinhua) -- Authorities in northwest China's Gansu Province have opened a medical center offering traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) remedies in Belarus.
According to Gansu's provincial department of commerce, the center, located in the city of Grodno, is the first independent TCM medical center in Belarus.
"The center covers an area of 510 square meters and offers a variety of TCM treatment, including acupuncture and cupping," said Ding Rujun of Gansu's Foreign Trade Association. "It also provides training and counseling services."
Gansu is the birthplace of TCM masters Qi Bo and the Yellow Emperor, and the province is rich in TCM culture.
In recent years, local authorities have increased efforts to promote TCM overseas, with TCM medical colleges built in 8 countries and medical centers in 6 countries.
