XIAMEN, March 6 (Xinhua) -- A Japanese animation expo is being held in Xiamen in east China's Fujian Province.
The expo, hosted by the China Arts and Entertainment Group and Japan's Agency for Cultural Affairs, focuses on Japanese award-winning animations and presents them in new media forms.
Ryohei Miyata, head of the agency, expressed the hope that the expo would contribute to friendly relations between China and Japan.
"We hope that the expo can deepen mutual understanding," he said.
Wang Chen, deputy general manager of China Arts and Entertainment Group, said that the expo "provides a good platform" for cooperation between China and Japan in terms of animation.
The expo began Monday evening and will last until Sunday.
