Afghan security force members inspect at the site of a blast in Jalalabad city, capital of eastern
JALALABAD, Afghanistan, March 7 (Xinhua) -- Two people including a provincial government official were killed as a blast rocked Jalalabad city, capital of eastern Afghanistan's Nangarhar province, on Wednesday, a local official said on condition of anonymity.
However, a local television channel 1TV reported in its news bulletin that a "suicide attack in Jalalabad city claimed the lives of two people including head of Hajj and Religious Affairs of Nangarhar province and injured nine others, all civilians".
No group has claimed of responsibility for the blast.
