TOKYO, March 30 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks advanced Friday morning following Wall Street's solid overnight lead which saw a rebound of technology shares after a sell-off earlier in the week.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average gained 213.27 points, or 1.01 percent, from Thursday to 21,372.35.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, added 8.69 points, or 0.51 percent, at 1,712.69.
Marine transportation, electric appliance and nonferrous metal-linked issues comprised those that gained the most by the morning break.
