YANGON, April 24 (Xinhua) -- A 5.3-magnitude earthquake jolted Myanmar's northwestern Sagaing region on Tuesday, according to the Meteorology and Hydrology Department.
The earthquake struck at 10:29 a.m. local time (0359 GMT).
Its epicenter was 40 km southeast of Kalewa city and about 190 km northwest of the Mandalay seismological observatory.
No damage has been reported so far, an official from the department told Xinhua.
