TOKYO, April 27 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks advanced Friday morning as investor sentiment was lifted by gains made on Wall Street overnight.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average gained 94.24 points, or 0.42 percent, from Thursday to 22,413.85.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, added 2.45 points, or 0.14 percent, at 1,774.58.
Oil and coal product, information and communication and real estate-linked issues led those that gained the most by the morning break.
