TEHRAN, April 27 (Xinhua) -- Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will visit Moscow on Saturday to hold trilateral talks with his Russian and Turkish counterparts on the Syria peace process, Iranian Foreign Ministry said on Friday.
Zarif will attend the extraordinary trilateral meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu about the latest developments in Syria, said Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi.
Earlier this month, the presidents of Iran, Russia and Turkey, the three guarantor states of de-escalation zones in Syria, held a meeting in Turkey's Ankara to discuss ways for peaceful settlement of the crisis in the Arab state.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Lavrov and Zarif will also discuss the situation around Iran nuclear deal after the United States and France threatened to scrap it, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said Thursday.
