NEW DELHI, June 10 (Xinhua) -- Indian Army on Sunday claimed to have foiled an infiltration bid in Indian-controlled Kashmir by gunning down five militants near the Line of Control.
The Indian Army foiled the infiltration bid in Keran sector in Kashmir's Kupwara district and killed five militants, an army official told the media.
This is the fourth such attempt by militants to sneak into this country across the border since the Indian security forces announced a ceasefire during the holy Muslim month of Ramadan.
Some 16 militants have been killed since the ceasefire on May 16. Enditem
