GHAZNI, Afghanistan, June 12 (Xinhua) -- Afghan security forces' airstrikes killed six militants of the Taliban outfit, destroying a propaganda instrument of Taliban in the eastern Ghazni province, provincial police chief Farid Ahmad Mashal said Tuesday.
The strikes, targeting Radio Shariat, according to the official, were launched in Zana Khan district late Sunday night.
Aimed at launching propaganda for the Taliban outfit, the radio begun operation some four months ago in Zana Khan district to air programs for the Taliban group and encourage youngsters to join the armed group in fighting against the government.
Taliban militants are yet to make comment on the report.
