MOSCOW, July 4 (Xinhua) -- A car ran onto a pavement and hit pedestrians in Russia's Black Sea resort city of Sochi Wednesday, killing one man and injuring three others, the Interior Ministry said.
A preliminary investigation showed that the driver, a 23-year-old local resident, fell asleep when the accident happened, according to the ministry.
A 63-year-old local resident died on the spot and three others with injuries of various severity were taken to a hospital, it said, adding that police are investigating the incident.
