WUHAN, July 7 (Xinhua) -- Organizers are soliciting public advice on the subject of etiquette ahead of next year's 7th Military World Games in Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei province.
The public are encouraged to submit a slogan which contains no more than 60 words and is easy to read and memorize, the organizing committee of the 7th Military World Games said.
Deadline for the solicitation is July 15. The public can submit their ideas through local media outlet Changjiang Daily.
As of now, more than 300 suggestions have been submitted.
Chen Chunfang, a senior citizen in Wuhan, said that the convention on good behavior is like family discipline. When drivers see pedestrians, even if the light is green, they will stop;when young people see elderly or pregnant women, they give up their seats.
Zhang Yansheng, a 74-year-old citizen of Wuhan, agrees.
"Specifically;spectators should be civilized when watching the Games. When encouraging the players, the applause should not be too warm," Zhang said.
A panel of experts and local citizens will make a shortlist of the proposals ahead of the final selection process.
The 7th Military World Games, slated for Oct. 18-27, 2019 in Wuhan, will feature nearly 10,000 athletes from more than 100 countries and regions competing in 329 events in 27 sports.
