FRANKFURT, July 18 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Wednesday, with the benchmark DAX index up by 104.40 points, or 0.82 percent, to close at 12,765.94 points.
German airlines Lufthansa won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 3.59 percent. Semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies and material manufacturer Covestro rose by 2.67 percent and 2.13 percent respectively.
Multinational chemical firm Linde lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 1.15 percent. Commerzbank went down by 0.79 percent. Multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer dropped 0.48 percent.
Bayer was the most-traded share with a turnover of 222.92 million euros (258.83 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
