GAZA, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- A Palestinian teenager died Monday of wounds he suffered during anti-Israel protests along the Gaza-Israel border, the Gaza Health Ministry said.
Ashraf al-Qedra, spokesman for the ministry, identified the 17-year-old young man as Ahmed al-Ayedi, adding that he was shot on March 30, the first day of the ongoing Palestinian "Great March of Return" rally against Israel's 11-year crippling blockade on Gaza.
About 158 Palestinians have been killed and more than 17,000 others injured by Israeli gunfire during the rallies which peak every Friday.
