PARIS, Aug. 9 (Xinhua) -- The French foreign ministry on Thursday increased to 20 the number of French citizens who were reported injured in the fatal earthquake that rocked Indonesia on Aug. 5.
In its updated casualties report, the ministry added one person was still hospitalized after suffering serious injuries.
The French embassy in Jakarta and as well as leaders in Paris are following the situation of the French nationals still in Lombok, Bali and the Gili Islands "with greatest attention", it added.
"The earth continues to tremble frequently in the area. It is recommended, in this context, to postpone planned stays in the coming days to Lombok and Gili," the ministry said, calling on French citizens to follow local authorities' safety guidelines for the area.
On Sunday, a 7.0-magnitude quake struck the north of Indonesia's resort island of Lombok, killing at least 319 people and seriously wounding 1,400 others.
