NEW YORK, Aug. 15 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 6.5 on the Richter scale jolted 65 km south of Tanaga Volcano, Alaska at 21:56:54 GMT on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 35.0 km, was initially determined to be at 51.3 degrees north latitude and 178.1 degrees west longitude.
