JAKARTA, Aug. 23 (Xinhua) -- A total of 13 cycling teams have confirmed to take part in the Tour de Siak in Riau province of Indonesia later this year, an official said on Thursday.
The cyclists comprise of 10 teams from offshore and the rest from domestic, head of Siak district Syamsuar revealed.
The cyclists will kick off competing from September 18 to 21, the official said.
He made the statement following the acknowledgment of the event in an international calendar event by the Switzerland-based Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI).
"Accordingly, the racers participating in this event will get points from UCI," he said.
The tour will have four stages, according to the tourism office in Siak district.
