HANOI, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's National Assembly (NA) will not review a draft law on special administrative economic units at the sixth NA session in October as planned, Vietnam News Agency reported on Saturday.
According to the NA Office, the top legislature will put voting on the draft law on hold until the next meeting of the NA in May 2019 for more feedback from voters and experts.
Authorities have studied special economic zones in other countries for reference but there are many different views about it, so the NA decided to delay the voting for further research.
The draft Law on Special Administrative - Economic Units of Van Don, Bac Van Phong and Phu Quoc - was deliberated at the fourth NA sitting in October 2017.
