BEIJING, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- CITIC Securities, one of China's leading brokerage firms, saw its net profit rise 12.96 percent year on year in the first half of 2018.
With a net profit of 5.565 billion yuan (818 million U.S. dollars), the company registered business revenue of 19.99 billion yuan, according to a statement it filed to the Shanghai Stock Exchange on Friday.
The revenue was 6.94 percent more than the same period last year, with the company's revenues in asset management and securities investment both rising.
However, revenues of its brokerage and securities underwriting businesses declined by 1.45 percent and 20 percent respectively year on year in H1, the company said.
CITIC Securities shares added 0.76 percent to close at 16 yuan per share on the Shanghai Stock Exchange Friday.
