NEW DELHI, Sept. 1 (Xinhua) -- A District Reserve Guard (DRG) personnel was killed and three others wounded in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast triggered by Naxals Saturday in central Indian state of Chhattisgarh, police said.
The blast took place in Rabdipara village of Sukma district, about 500 km south of Raipur, the capital city of Chhattisgarh.
"Today in the afternoon four personnel of DRG were wounded in an IED blast at Rabdipara village here," a police official posted in Sukma said. "However, one of the personnel later succumbed to his wounds."
According to officials the wounded personnel were removed to hospital in Sukma town.
DRG is a special police raised to counter Naxals in Chhattisgarh.
