LONDON, Sept. 4 (Xinhua) -- Real Madrid will start their Club World Cup defence in December with a semi-final clash against either Mexican side Guadalajara or the to-be-decided champions of Asia.
The draw for the continental club tournament slated for December 12-22 in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, in the United Arab Emirates, was made by FIFA on Tuesday with only four of the seven competing teams confirmed.
UAE champions Al Ain open the competition against Oceania title-holders Wellington in the single first round game with the winner taking on the African representative in round two. Guadalajara face the Asian winners at the same stage.
Whoever progresses from the Al Ain-Wellington-African ties will meet the South American Copa Libertadores champions in the other last four tie.
Real Madrid have won the last two Club World Cups and three of the previous four. Enditem
