JAKARTA, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- Australian racer Marcus Culey entered finish with the shortest time in the first stage of the Tour de Banyuwangi Ijen in East Java province of Indonesia on Wednesday, a media reported here.
Culey from St. George Continental Cycling Team finished one minute and 35 second faster than his fellow from the team Matthew Zenovich.
The third place was also posed by racer from the team benjamin Dyball, Antara news wire said.
Culey along with nine other racers separated from competitors after the first 30 kilometers, still the nine cyclists could not keep their position along with Culey.
"When the distance is only 25 kilometers to go I had been alone," said Culey.
A total of 19 teams with 15 of which from offshore are competing in the tour, which kicked off on Wednesday and will end on Saturday.
The racers will pass through a total of 599km routes.
