BERLIN, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) -- The Seventh Berlin Art Week kicked off on Wednesday, presenting a variety of contemporary art programs from all over the world.
This year's Berlin Art Week features two trade fairs, fifteen exhibition halls, countless galleries and collection rooms. Represented are internationally renowned artists such as Rebecca Horn, Lee Bul and Meg Stuart.
The organizer expected 100,000 visitors by Sunday, the last day of the art week.
On Wednesday, numerous solo shows unveiled and so did thematic exhibitions including "The Most Dangerous Games" on the history of the Situationist International, and a photography collection "The Moment is Eternity".
Klaus Lederer, Berlin's Senator for Culture and Europe, said, "Since its founding, Berlin Art Week has developed to become a prominent event in the world of contemporary art that attracts attention far beyond the city's borders and has now become a fixture on the international art calendar."
