BUENOS AIRES, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) -- Boca Juniors will sign Bolivia international goalkeeper Carlos Lampe if they progress to the Copa Libertadores semifinals, the Argentine club's vice president said on Wednesday.
The announcement came two weeks after Boca's first-choice keeper Esteban Andrada was ruled out for the rest of the year with a fractured jaw.
Boca vice president Rodolfo Ferrari said Lampe would sign a three-month loan deal, pending the result of the team's Copa Libertadores quarterfinal second leg against Cruzeiro in Buenos Aires on Thursday. Boca won the first leg in Belo Horizonte 2-0.
"Everything has been agreed to," he said. "If we progress he will join us. If not, the transfer won't happen because regulations stipulate that he can't compete in the Superliga Argentina."
Lampe, who has been capped 24 times for Bolivia's national team, currently plays for Huachipato in Chile's top flight.
