BUENOS AIRES, Oct. 7 (Xinhua) -- Uncapped Talleres Cordoba goalkeeper Guido Herrera has been added to Argentina's squad for friendlies against Iraq and Brazil in Saudi Arabia, the Argentine Football Association (AFA) said late on Sunday.
The 26-year-old replaces Franco Armani, who suffered a quadriceps injury while playing for River Plate in the Copa Argentina on Sunday.
"[Herrera] will join the rest of the squad once the paperwork for his Saudi Arabian visa is approved," the AFA said in a statement.
Argentina will meet Iraq in Riyadh on Oct. 12 and Brazil in Jeddah four days later.
Other goalkeepers in the Albiceleste squad for the matches are Manchester United's Sergio Romero and Real Sociedad's Geronimo Rulli.
