TASHKENT, Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- An explosion caused by the malfunction of a gas stove left two children dead in Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Uzbekistan said Monday.

The gas blast took place in a house in Kitab District of Kashkadarya region around 10:04 a.m. local time (0504 GMT). Two children died from burns in hospital.
