LONDON, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Wednesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 1.27 percent, or 91.85 points, to close at 7,145.74 points.
Kingfisher, an international home improvement company, soared 3.65 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. BT Group and United Utilities Group increased by 3.63 percent and 3.41 percent, respectively.
Mondi, an international packaging and paper group, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 8.74 percent. Burberry Group, a global luxury brand, dropped 8.09 percent.
