ULAN BATOR, Oct. 11 (Xinhua) -- Mongolian Prime Minister Ukhnaa Khurelsukh said Thursday his country is willing to further strengthen cooperation with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in a wide range of areas including investment and infrastructure.
Khurelsukh made the remarks when meeting with UAE ambassador to Mongolia Abdullah Abdul Rahman Al Tunaiji, according to the Mongolian government press office.
"We have great potential for expanding bilateral cooperation in a wide range of areas, including investment, infrastructure and mining," the prime minister said.
The UAE ambassador said his country is willing to enhance bilateral cooperation with Mongolia.
The interest of UAE citizens to explore Mongolia has been growing in recent years, he said.
Relaxation or elimination of visa requirements between the two sides will send a strong impetus to boost tourism, he added.
Mongolia and the UAE established diplomatic relations in April 1996. The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, the UAE development aid institution, has financed many development projects in Mongolia.
