TEHRAN, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) announced that the mastermind of a recent deadly terrorist attack in Iran's southwestern city of Ahvaz was killed in Iraq, Tasnim news agency reported on Wednesday.
In an operation in Iraqi's Diyala province on Tuesday morning, the chief plotter of the terrorist attack, known as Abu Dhoha, and four of his companions were killed, the IRGC announcement said.
On Sept. 22, four armed men clad in the uniform of the IRGC attacked the military parade in Ahvaz, capital of Khuzestan province, which was marking the anniversary of the Iran-Iraq war in 1980-1988.
In the attack, 25 people were killed and over 60 others were injured.
