SHANGHAI, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- The exhibition booth arrangement work for the upcoming China International Import Expo (CIIE) has begun in Shanghai, the organizer said Thursday.
Over 1,800 exhibition booths will be set up by the end of the month, before exhibitors start to display products on Nov. 1 and 2, according to the China International Import Expo Bureau.
Peng Chunyan, a bureau employee, said the exhibition booth arrangement would highlight security and being "green." The construction of each booth will be watched by a security guard to ensure safety, while materials will be recyclable and environment-friendly.
Shanghai is scheduled to host the first CIIE from Nov. 5 to 10. The expo will see participation of more than 2,800 companies from 130 countries and regions, and 160,000 buyers from over 80,000 domestic and foreign companies.
