WINDHOEK, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- Namibia have been drawn in Group B of the Mopani Copper Mines Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) Under-20 Championships alongside South Africa, Mauritius and Eswatini in a draw held on Wednesday.
The tournament will be staged in Kitwe, Zambia from December 2 to 14.
Namibia head coach Gerald Guther welcomed the draw and said that with better preparation they stand a chance of making it to the semifinal stage of the competition.
"South Africa is our bogey team at this age group and we are looking forward to a battle with them once again. With sufficient time to prepare, we can surprise them," he added.
Guther said that his squad is expected to report for their pre-tournament training camp next week.
Elsewhere in the tournament, Group A consists of Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique and newcomers Reunion, while Group C contains Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Angola and Botswana.
