BEIJING, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- Pinduoduo, an online Chinese bulk product discounter, signed cooperation agreements with two counter-piracy alliances on Friday, facilitated by China's copyright authority.
The National Copyright Administration has over the years been actively guiding copyright cooperation between e-commerce platforms and copyright owners, and established copyright protection cooperation mechanisms, said an official of the administration.
The measures are to curb infringement from the origin, the official added.
E-commerce platforms have to take the initiative to enhance copyright management, especially ahead of the Singles' Day online shopping festival, also known as Double Eleven and held on every Nov. 11, the administration said.
The two counter-piracy alliances involve the Commercial Press, the People's Education Press as well as China's leading publishing houses for teenagers and young children.
