RAMALLAH, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas announced on Thursday that he had signed 11 international agreements during the opening of a top level officials meeting.
The agreements included additional protocols to child rights, the rights of people with disabilities, women citizenship rights and the convention of the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women.
During the meeting in Ramallah, Abbas also slammed the Israeli assaults against the Palestinian people and held the Israeli government responsible for the consequences of its attacks on Palestinians.
He also thanked the states that have "responded to efforts to reach calm in Gaza Strip, particularly Egypt."
