NAIROBI, Nov. 21 (Xinhua) -- New Zealander Ian Snook will consider his position as Kenya 15s rugby head coach after Friday's Repechage game against Germany in Marseille, France.
The match, a formality after Kenya lost first two games against Canada and Hong Kong of China.
The coach has on several occasions expressed his frustrations over lack of support and budget to propel the national team and having missed his target to secure Kenya its first World Cup ticket, he believes it is time to review his relevancy to the Kenya project.
"We had high hopes of making it to the World Cup. But I have to accept, the team was not equal to the challenge. I have no plans as yet on what next is in store for me. I will discuss with Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) once I arrive in Nairobi next week and see what is best for us all," said Snook on Wednesday.
The match against Germany is just a formality and Snook believes the team deserves to play continuously at the high level if they have to compete against the giants in the sport and make a mark on the global scene.
