YORK, England, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- Marco Fu was beaten 6-3 by Jack Lisowski at the UK Snooker Championship here on Tuesday.
Fu, from China's Hong Kong, has been recovering from eye surgery and dropped the first three frames but managed to close to 4-3 in the next four with a top run of 119.
Lisowski got the better of two scrappy frames to seal the victory. The 27-year-old Lisowski, who beat Zhang Jiankan and Mei Xiwen, both from China, set up a last-16 clash with six-time champion Ronnie O'Sullivan.
"It could be a cracking match against Ronnie, I think we are the second and third-fastest players on tour," said Lisowski. "I hope I can keep up with him and score. The way I play, if I go for my shots and have a really good day then 99 per cent of the time I will win because I can be hard to play against. But Ronnie is the same and a real handful as we all know."
