RIO DE JANEIRO, Dec. 17 (Xinhua) -- Uruguayan goalkeeper Martin Silva is set to join Paraguay's Libertad after reaching an agreement to leave Vasco da Gama.
Libertad have agreed to trigger Silva's release clause pending a medical in the coming days, according to Brazilian press reports.
Capped 11 times for Uruguay's national team, the 35-year-old is understood to have agreed to a three-year deal with the Asuncion-based club.
Silva has been Vasco's first-choice goalkeeper since joining the club from Olimpia, also from Paraguay, in December 2013.
Vasco finished 16th in Brazil's 20-team Serie A standings this year, narrowly avoiding relegation to the country's second tier.
