YANGON, Dec. 31 (Xinhua) -- The Pyin Oo Lwin flower festival is being held in Myanmar's Mandalay region since Dec. 15, featuring about 200,000 flowery plants.
A variety of flowers are being showcased at the festival, which will last until Jan. 19 next year, at National Kandawgyi Garden, Pyin Oo Lwin township.
Featuring a total of 69 species of flowery plants from both home and abroad, the festival also includes flower arrangement competitions and other activities.
It was the 13th time of such festival being held at the National Kandawgyi Garden. Last year about 300,000 visited the show.
This year, floral experts from Japan and Thailand also participated.
