HANOI, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) -- The 2019 Vietnam International Travel Mart will take place here on March 27-30, with the participation of hundreds of travel companies from 25 countries and regions, the Vietnam Tourism Association announced on Friday.
Various tourism products, packages and destinations will be offered at more than 500 booths around the key topic of green tourism. Workshops will also be held to share experiences in developing eco-tourism and protecting the environment.
Over 32,000 tour packages and 20,000 air tickets are expected to be sold during the four-day event, said the association.
Vietnam hosted roughly 15.5 million international arrivals in 2018, up 19.9 percent against 2017, with the highest growth of 44.3 percent in the number of visitors from South Korea, followed by Finland, up 24.9 percent, and China, up 23.9 percent, according to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism.
